2004 Workhorse 8.1 OBD

Has anyone found a OBD HUD to work on a workhorse 8.1 chassis. I have a 2004 and I have tried two but they get communication failures.

Looks like the guy on the video is using a ScanGuage II
I just have already gone through 2 of these types of devices and didn't want to order a third without knowing it would work. the ones that say "all 1996 and newer" have not worked on the 2004 workhorse P32. But Maybe ScanGuage II will.
