Wall mount for TV

I have a 2010 Itasca Navion K (same as View). It has a 26 inch Jensen TV whose sound stopped working. If I can't get the TV repaired, I'll have to replace it. The closest thing I have found is a 28 inch Jenson JTV2815. The problem is that the wall mount bracket for my Jenson JE2608 uses the 200 x 400 mount pattern, and the new JTV2815 uses the 100 x 100 pattern so I can't attach it to my existing mount.

I thought about just buying a new mount, but the refrigerator is right next to the wall I have to mount to, so I don't have access to the back of the wall. I have included 3 pictures of the mount and back of the TV. Any ideas on the best way to resolve this?

This doesn't address your mount problem, but, if you have connections for external speakers, have you tried attaching an external speaker to your TV? We had a TV that the sound went out, seems it was some internal workings of the set went bad but the headphone jack and the optical audio connection still worked. We got a sound bar from a big box store, hooked it up and it worked. Saved a few hundred over buying a new TV

The screws in my TV mount keep working themselves back out. Do we think some Butyl between the mount and the wall will prevent that?

Good suggestion. If I select Auxiliary input on the Stereo/DVD player, I can route the TV sound to the speakers in the ceiling. However, only one speaker puts out sound. Apparently whatever "fried" in the TV took out one channel of that output. I took the TV to a repair shop today, and I'm waiting on the estimate to repair it.

Wait, what? They still have TV repair shops?

My first though was that a drop of Locktite Blue on each screw might solve that problem.

I believe the problem with that is the screws just grip a thin sheet of metal behind the wall.

For what it is worth; Dec. 2019 I had an issue with my Jenson 26" TV and a mobile TV technician, came to my daughter's house in Culver City and picked up then TV, fixed it, and brought it back the next day. Cost was relatively in-expensive--in the $50 range...

Check your internet, TV techs still exist...

That's awfully close to the cost of buying a new one. 24/26" sets can be bought new for less than $100 and they will often be 1080P HD and not 790P MD. The additional plus is the new will usually be smarter, have new remotes and can be found with a 2 year or greater warranty.

Wait what? You don’t know how to make a forum quote from another post?

Just kidding, but if you’d like to learn how just ask.

Yes, I know how to quote, multi quote and partially quote from another post. The way I did it is a holdover from many years ago when I was a member of the Harley e-mail Digest, an offshoot of the newsgroup rec.motorcycles.harley. We would send in email, and twice a day we would get an email from HeD with all the posts since the last email dump. In order to partially quote we did the "snip" as above.
