Run Dash Radio with levelers down.

First post. Just Picked up a 2017 WB Vista 31BE, coming from a 1994 Safari Trek Isuzu 24 footer. This WB is nicer than my first apartment.

I am pretty impressed so far and I am amazed at all the design that went into this rig. But I have still got some things that I can't figure out.

One thing is that I would like to run the dash radio tonight while we clean this thing up before a trip this week. I have the levelers down, but it seems that no matter what the ignition position is in I am getting the jacks down alarm. This is not good for using the radio.

Am I missing a way to power up the radio without having the ignition in any on position?

Thanks, this is the beginning of what I am sure will be a long term forum relationship.

Most all winnebago RV's have a switch that will allow you to run radio off house batteries . . . which requires no ignition or chassis which requires the ignition to be in accessory. It is generally somewhere on the dash.

Welcome to the Winnebago world where they tend to care if you know what you have!
They put lots of info online so we can spend as much time as we need finding all those little items we forgot about!

Interactive parts catalog here is great for probing without having to crawl:

I guessed at whether you will have the early year build or later but I suspect this switch will be very close to what you want.

We had the same for five years. Great coach!

IIRC, there’s a switch to the left of the dash that says house and eng. flip it to house but don’t forget to turn it off.

Also, the bottom bunk lifts up for storage.

Haha I found it right after posting. Thanks l! Cleaning the inside was not bad. Previous owners did not abuse and seemed to have taken good care. Very few items to mess with.
