Mirrors and camera 2005 Itasca Spirit

I have a 2005 Itaska Spirit. I have been trying to figure out why my back up camera is not working! Found one electrical diagram that led me to think the camera system is connected to the power side mirrors. When I tried the mirrors found them not working either. The Ford owners manual shows the fuse for mirrors is # 17 under the dash. The fuse showed some sign of heat but still tested good. Put new fuse in just because, still not working. Suggestions?

And

I went to the trouble of looking at every fuse in the panel under the dash and the distribution panel under the hood.

Steve, I saw that same drawing that seems to show the backup camera is tied to the power mirror fuse. Since you are looking at fuses, I assume your visor mounted display is completely dead. Does your mirror control switch have a left/off/right switch built into it? I'm sure you tried it with the engine on and the switch in all those positions? Another possibility is that fuse is for the mirror heaters and not the mirror motors? Did your backup camera only come on when you shifted into reverse or was it on all the time? Maybe the reverse sensor is the issue? I'm just throwing out ideas.

It looks like there are three wires that run down the A pillar that provide the power and control signal to the rear view monitor. There is a 3-pin connector in there somewhere but I can't tell if it is in the A pillar or under the dash. If the pillar cover is easy to get off, you might look for that connector and test for voltages on it with a voltmeter.

I looked it over a bit and had a thought to try but without lots of the info we might need to get the real idea!

Am I correct in thinking this is the drawing section you are working?
Are you also aware of this list to decode the wire IDs:

This seems to show both TR and MD are positive battery feed to the monitor with MP being the ground. Have you been able to check all of these feeds at the monitor? My thought is that it may require all to get the proper output. Since we have no info on how the monitor powering works, it may be something like an AND gate where both input have to be positive to get a positive out?

No real idea without info on that but just random speculation! Just a point to check for something obvious to show?
