2008 Winnebego Access 31c - no 12v power

Hi Everyone,

New to this forum. I have a 2008 Winnebego Access 31c Motorhome. My house battery is fully charged. I have power to my slide out and my retractable step. All other 12v lights, etc I have no power. No issues with shore power. I’ve checked the aux on/off disconnect switch and it does not solve the issue. I’ve checked all the fuses and all are good.

Any ideas on why it could be? Thinking it’s probably a simple reset switch somewhere but reading all of my documentation I can’t find any info of what that may be or where it could be.

Appreciate any guidance on this issue. Thanks in advance.

Kevin

I've had a simular issue several times. It was a stuck battery disconnect solenoid. When I toggled the switch, I could not hear the solinoid activate. Removed the access panel and tapped the solenoid with the butt of a screw driver. It happens after the RV has been sitting in storage, with the battery disconnected.

Kev-

I "think" my 2007 is probably wired the same as your rig. My thoughts:
1. Just FYI, the slide and the steps are powered from the chassis (Ford?) battery. Always a good idea to run the engine when moving the slide, BTW.
2. I have had the 40A ckt brkr shown in the pic below trip twice in the 6 years I have had my rig. No idea why that happened but the symptoms were the same as yours. The panel is in the first storage compartment that is behind the passenger-side door.
3. The batt disconnect (latching) solenoid is located behind the panel mentioned above. That panel has enough wire slack to rotate it down and out of the way. Then you could get your voltmeter on the actual solenoid (AKA the salesman's switch) and do some detective work. I'll attach a pic of that area too. It may help to click on the pics to enlarge.

Good luck with the fix. Once you find the prob, pls let the forum know re the solution.

Hope this helps some.
