Question 1985 Cruise Control Module

As background, when I purchased my rig in June, 2022, the speedometer was not working at all and the owner also informed me that the cruise control worked "intermittently."

Checked the speedo cable and it was faulty. Replacement cable got the speedo working tho it bounced quite a bit.

In the process, discovered the speed control output was faulty and replaced that as well. The cruise control then worked without problem.

After the above repairs, went on an ~500 mile round trip during which the speedo failed. Cable still turns so appears the problem is the speedo itself.

Purchased a reconditioned instrument cluster which has an "RSS sensor" wire from the speedometer that is not present on the OEM unit. The cruise is working without the RSS sensor.

So here is my technical question: If I can find the cruise control module, I think I can confirm that it is indeed connected directly to the speed sensor without going through the speedometer. But I do not know the location of the cruise control module. Can anyone enlighten me?

TY in advance for your time and expertise.

We have no idea what model of RV, what kind of chassis or any specific information that would help us help you with your 38 year old RV.

Can you fill us in?

Thanks for the reply. My apologies on the minimalist post. I was assuming my profile info appeared with the post.

I have a 1985 Minnie Winnie 421RB on the Chevy G30 platform with the LT-9 350 V8 and TH400 3 speed automatic transmission. And I can post photos of the original and "new" instrument clusters if that would help. Thanks again.
