Roof Radius peeling

Upon doing my pre spring cleaning on the 07 Meridan, I noticed a fine almost clear substance starting to seperate from the gray fiberglass of the roof radius. Its happening more on the top than the side and just in spots, if you rub more will come off however.

So what is this?
Is this an age problem?
How to fix?

Well,
By the way you're describing this issue, it sure sounds like clear coat peeling. It happens to many, many RVs out there and, especially ones that consistently face the sun and never get a break. Although it's quite common, it doesn't happen to every single one. As for a remedy, well, in reality, those sections it's happening to need deep attention. And that means a sanding in appropriate steps and then blending in the paint, then re-coating with clear to the strong base that's not affected. It's not really a job for the average DIY type since painting, color matching and blending is pretty much an art. Good luck.

Scott,
Thanks I was afraid that this was not going to be a DIY Project.

That is a super typical issue for all brands, it is clear coat peeling. Many leave it others as is. Others bite the bullet and have it professionally repainted. Not cheap, but not super expensive either.

Yes, more appearance than structural. I had my roof coves repainted at 3-4 years under warranty, and within within 5 years had clear coat paling again ... that was 8-10 years ago ...
