My brother has a 2006 Itasca Sunrise and the roof skin has came out of what ever holds it down on the one side. It is 35' and has came out the full lenght of the roof. None of the dealers in Canada no how to fix it and Winnebago has been no help. Does anyone no what to do to fix this?
It tucks into the roof/side rail. All that holds it in there is caulking. That caulking needs to checked and reapplied annually. It will come loose. It usually lets go of the aluminium rail.
You could see if the fiberglass roof can be inserted back into the rail. First make sure all the old caulking is removed. Winnebago uses a guide of some kind on rollers to insert It in the rail. It is done by hand.
Below is a cross section of the roof edge. Winnebago says to use a flexible knife to remove the bad caulk/adhesive plus some on each side and apply new caulk. You can get the proper caulk for your rig from the sealant call out for your model Manuals & Diagrams

Do NOT use silicone to seal the roof. It will not hold very well and makes it nearly impossible for the correct sealer or anything else to adhere the next time it needs sealing.
I believe all the sealers used are some variation of polyurethane adhesive/sealant.

I used 4 inch eternabond white tape over the metal edge and up on the roof on both sides. Looks awesome and is a way more permanent fix. Have the exact roof edge that was shown in the previous post. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

I used a screen door spline in the channel ( two runs ) to act as a better way to hold the skin in the channel. Then a bead of non silicon sealant I found at Home Depot. That sealant has not cracked , shrunk or let go in three years. Eventually I will go the entrabond (sp) route
