Roof Cleaning Questions 2019 Outlook 22C

Cleaned the roof of the RV today and I am going to fill some hairline cracks I noticed in the dicor sealing between front overhang and top. Also in some other areas that I find. l plan on filling those with Dicor self-leveling lap sealant.

My question is - I noticed the roof (I am assuming a rubber material) has a rough texture which was hard to get really clean.

Is there a coating that can be applied with a smooth surface to it? Would it be a complicated process?

This would make cleaning the roof much easier and look nicer. Thanks for any advice or procedures you recommend.

According to the brochure for your RV the rubber roof of your RV is TPO membrane. LOTS of RVs and even flat roof buildings come with TPO Roofs and there are some proper cleaning and care videos on YouTube.

But the Sealants used on your Roof are important to make note of. There is a sealant guide that shows you what is used where on the roof. Many times the sealant is silicone and it is not compatible with Dicor. Dicor will not stick to silicone.

Here's a link to your RV's Sealant Guide:

The product used on the front and rear cap seams is is Nuco 311 or Hengs 311. It's sold online with either name. Many times Camping World has it in stock - but not always.

Here's a link for Amazon:

If you have trouble finding it what you want is a SILICONE, White, Self-Leveling sealant. Other than those three things it really doesn't matter. You can find lots of Silicone White sealant at Home Depot and Lowes. But finding self-leveling is usually the issue.

By the way. This stuff is used all over your roof and all the vents, fans, and anything else protruding from your roof.

If you use Dicor it will look fine but it will not work because it's not able to stick long term to the silicone sealant underneath.

Thanks for links. Glad I didn't put the Dicor on yet.
Will get some of the Silicon Calk.
