Road noise on 2015 Itasca Sonova 33c

We just purchased a 2015 Winnebago Itasca Sonova 33c, gas engine. We absolutely love it ....if it wasnt for the very loud road noise. We are previous owners of a 2001 Winnebago
Adventurer 37 ft and all the years we had it, we never experienced the road noise like on the Sonova. You can't hear the radio or let alone your cell phone or talk. When you get over 55 mph the wind noise is so bad it is like the window is rolled down. Has any one else experienced this? And is this normal for this model?

Sounds very much like you’re missing a couple “weep hole” covers.

Immediately below the driver’s and passenger’s windows outside there is a row of weep holes for water to drain out of the coach windows. These are covered by plastic covers that snap into place over the holes.

These fall of or get stolen all the time. When one is missing the wind noise is super loud. When more than one is missing the noise is massive.

You can buy extra covers online but be aware there are left side drivers covers and right side passengers covers. It not one kind for both sides. Also there is an old style and a new style. I don’t know what model years use which, but I’m pretty sure the 2015 uses the new style.

An easy emergency fix is to put tape over the weep holes. But don’t use this for very long or you will build up a lot of water inside that wall.

I bought mine on Amazon.

We really appreciate your feed back. It was definitely the weep holes that was causing the problem! You saved us quite a bit of money!
