An update with pics
OP here. A little success today, but I had to work at getting it. There was just NO meaningful access to the Cat 5 wire from behind the control panel inside the RV. I was afraid to just yank on it as there was at least one sharp metal corner and then it was unknown from there.
After looking a little further/harder, I saw there was a removable ceiling panel within the compartment held on/up by 6 screws. I was able to remove four of them and drop the panel far enough to stick my arm in, find the Cat 5, and grab a handful and pull. I gained about a foot and a half which was more than sufficient. I also discovered this allowed access to a lot of other wiring as well as, the 1/2 bath black tank sprayer connection!
So, while I have made progress, I have two "next steps" I'd like opinions/thoughts on. The first is how to remove the 120v wiring from the connection block inside the compartment (pictured) and ideas on how to re-attach the 120 v line on which the clamp had come loose while bouncing up and down the highway - also pictured.
1. Blue arrow = Cat 5 cable under the shroud and red arrows are the 120 lines in and out of the converter.
2. This is the connector in question. I need to figure out how to remove the clear plastic part in order to remove and then replace the 120v line that came loose.
3. This is the port where the 120 v line actually connects to the converter. It appears there may have been some minor arching when the wire was bouncing around. (This didn't cause the breaker to trip)
4. This is the wire that connects in that hole with a cover plate naturally. It was from that cover plate that this connector had come loose.
Thanks for all of the help, I'm sure we'll get it knocked out eventually.
