Exhaust Extension
The side exhaust extension on our 2008 Vectra is painted (aluminum) and, IMO, detracts from the appearance. Has anyone found a source for a chrome tail pipe -- rectangular in shape and exits the left rear of the coach.

If your tailpipe is a 5" diameter, you can look at the following website, http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts-mufflers/69A2759A0A0.aspx.
I see the clean emissions engines have the rectangular end on them, so I'm not sure if you can use the round? On my 02 Journey, the old extension rusted trhrough at the top of the turn down, and I used an MBRP tip. All stainless and pretty heavy, so it is a nice tip.
Good Luck with your project!

I just installed an MBRP tip, and after the trip to Quartzsite it has a light gold patina. Apparently it wasn't cleaned from the factory. While it's pretty, anyone know how to get the SS look back?

SCVJeff,
Any good stainless polish will work. This can be done by hand. One rag to put it on and polish, and a clean rag to wipe the haze off.
That is normal for a stainless tip when it is new.

I suspect that you have a 07 EPA engine. If so, you cannot use any type of chrome exhaust. A chrome exhaust will not stand up to the heat generated by that engine. The manufacturers did not move away from chrome because they wanted an ugly exhaust, it was because of the heat.

Try E-bay, when I had my diesel, I got a new 5" tip, chrome for half the cost of new, same brand, etc. You can also find stainless ones there too sometimes, but pricey.
Just a suggestion.....
