Can anyone identify this?

Closed the hood of my 2014 Itasca Sunstar the other day after checking fluids, heard a couple of clangs, and this item fell to the ground. I've looked all over inside and can't see where it would go. Three "bumpers" (this appears to be some type of bumper) are still in place for closing the hood. Also, no indication that any of the openings for screws were ever used.

Anyone have any ideas?

TIA,

Jim

I would say "hood bumper"! If you have three, I would look at the spacing and find a clean spot on the fiberglass where this has been?
Stuck on with some adhesive or fiberglass they do drop off. Lucky it happened when you were nearby !

EDIT:
Found it!
Upper right or upper left bracket!

Thanks, Morich. That was my thought too, but I have two spaced evenly on the engine compartment frame, and one almost centered on the fiberglass hood. But I'll have another look as you suggested.

Look for a lump of adhesive with a matching pattern. The brackets allow for adjustment of the cover.

And it is also true that somebody else may have already done some work and possibly moved them on an RV nearing ten years old.
We tend to be a group who has extra time to do things which leaves others totally confused as to WHY??

On that drawing it shows one on each side near the top and then also one on the bottom on each but below rather than on the side.
Click that drawing above to spot the bottom right one as blue item sticking up from below?

I have not had this problem on several Winnebago I have had but there seems to be several reports and post asking what to do to keep them on. Some have gone to small bolts through the fiberglass as being better than sticking them back???
Others have built up fiberglass over the ends of the bracket?
No ideas of which I would do!

Perfect, thanks so much Morich! The previous owner must have lost the pax side unit, so I couldn't find a match. Mine fell off the driver's side. Looks like I have another repair when we get back. And thanks to everyone else who responded, also.

There are tons of posts on Winnieowners on the best way to attach them. Some use various forms of epoxy and adhesives. Others use stainless steel nuts and bolts. Some use both. Good surface prep is essential in applying epoxy or adhesive. One nice thing about adding nuts and bolts is that you can prevent your other brackets from falling off. You're lucky your's didn't fall off on the road.

Thanks, Brooks. I did find the old glob of whatever held it on. I tackle this repair when we get off the road.
