2022 Travato Sliding Door Window Struts

When it rains it pours. While trying to focus on the water heater issue, I opened the 2022 Travato KL sliding door window (awning type). It wouldn't "catch" at the usual halfway open point. It appears that something is wrong with the struts that are attached on one end to the window frame and on the other end to the window. I don't know how these work so I don't know where to begin to figure out if they can be fixed or need to be replaced. I can't find anything on this site or if I use google. The parts list on the Winnebago site doesn't help. Anyone had a problem with these awning type windows? Thanks.
