2008 Journey 39Z Entry Door Window Fog

I need to replace the fogged window in the entry door. It is approx 25" wide, 33" high. I have checked the Winnebago parts online catalog but can't find a specific replacement kit. The Lippert "thin shade" window kit is too small. Appreciate any suggestions.

My 07 Meridian has the same issue. I called Lichtsinn RV https://www.lichtsinn.com/ for part information, and if I remember correctly the window was around $1200.00.

There are post on how to remove and clean the two pieces of glass and reinstall. With this option you will not have the advantage of double pain glass.

I also looked into a glass company that will cut a piece of automotive glass the size I need. With this however I will have to come up with a way to take care of the difference in thickness.

At this time I am leaning toward removing the glass taking it apart cleaning and reistalling without the gas in the middle.

We posted on a possible solution to this a couple of weeks back.

Much cheaper than new. I've not seen gas (argon) filled RV windows. The product we used has built in desiccant.

There is no "gas" in between the glass panes, it is only air. The seal between the panes contains a dessacant to absorb any moisture from that air gap..That desiccant should be replaced during re-assembly.

Your signature says Charleston not far from Tim Wilson Glass in Myrtle Beach area. Go by there often and there’s alway motor homes setting there. You’d probably have to leave it.

Here’s a good video with links to supply’s along with some informative comments from viewers if you decide to DIY, it’s not that hard.

We went to Coach Glass in OR when ours fogged up for the second time. They were able to install an automotive style one piece glass which fit perfectly. The thermal loss for that one window not being a dual pane is not noticeable.

Suncoast Designers in Hudson Florida. We brought our 05 journey there 2 years ago for our door glass repair. They take out the window and cover with cardboard. Next they take apart the glass, clean and reseal. Re-install after seal has cured. Takes 2 to 3 days. Free Hook ups while your repair is done. Cost was $280 2 years ago. Good kayaking in the area while your waiting.

Without the thermo-pane seal will this cause the glass to still fog up?

We haven't had an inside fog issue with the one piece glass.
