I have a 2008 Adventurer 35'. I have experienced violent oscillations while towing my 2009 Chevy HHR. The last two episodes occurred starting from a dead stop and making right hand turns. I have had it checked a couple of times and had 2000 lb leafs added to the rear springs but that did not cure the problem. I spoke to another Winnie owner who tows a Chevy Equinox (which I believe was the replacement for the HHR) and he is experiencing similar problems. Has anyone else had this experience and, if so, were you able to correct it?
Are you sure it's an issue with the RV not the car? Look up "Jeep Death Wobble". I understand that's probably a completely different animal, but I think the fix is addresses at the steering of the Jeep. Not sure if that's something similar to what you are seeing on the Chevy?

Yeah, you've got the death wobble going there and it's a Toad thing not a RV thing.
LOTs of posts on this topic at iRV2 Forums. Search "death wobble".
Some vehicle manufacturers have addressed with with fixes and suggestions of how to eliminate or minimize it. I think some use a bungie cord on the steering wheel, but since this has not happened to me I'm not sure.
