What we all need to understand is that the COVID-19 virus, like all of the other viruses, simply can not be totally controlled by any means, including masks. What makes this virus so dangerous is its ability to transmit so easily and from infected people with no apparent symptoms. It will take the path of least resistance, as in densely populated areas like NYC and other metropolitan areas, and spread like wildfire. But afterwards, the spread rate is greatly reduced, more like in suburbia, no matter what was done to reduce the spread. Social distancing and isolation can be effective in flattening the curve, but what we were not told was that flattening the curve will only prolong the spread. COVID-19 will have its way no matter what. Buy a lottery ticket if you get out of this a year or two from now without being exposed.
