No Water to Residential Fridge
we took possession of our new 2016 Itasca Suncruiser 38Q last week and have been loading all of the stuff from our previous unit.
I have running water everywhere in the coach except to the Whirlpool residential fridge. no water thru the filtered water inside and no ice in the ice maker. I have the supply T-Handle open (counter-clockwise) and the drain T-handle closed (clockwise) and the fridge water filter installed. nothing.
I am running off of the fresh water tank. as I say I have running water everywhere else. does the filtered water/ice maker need a city connection? will it work off of the fresh tank/water pump? have I missed a valve somewhere? when I depress the filtered water switch in the fridge I hear the pump activate but no water.
???

The icemaker gets its water from the filter under the sink if you have one.

are you sure? the sink is on the curb side of the kitchen while the fridge is on the street side. I can see the water lines going to the ice maker and filtered water port of the fridge from the fridge access port on the street side of the RV. the fridge in the RV coincidentally is the same model we have in the house. in any case the water filter under the sink is installed and working.

rk911, is the valve under the sink open? There are two valves in the water line going to the ice maker plus the drain.

that diagram is not what I'm seeing under my sink and i see no valve. I don't see how the water lines to the fridge are under the sink as the fridge and sink are on opposite walls. the water supply t-valve (accessed via the access door on the street side exterior) is open.

rk911, here are a couple more drawings showing the tubing routing and valves. The valve may be behind the sink bowl. Do you see the 1/4" tubing behind the filter.

steve/grant...took another look...and feel...this morning using my hands and a flashlight. I felt but didn't see a valve behind the back of the cabinet wall, turned it and I now have water thru the filtered water in the fridge. presume I will have ice later today. I re-read the residential fridge section of the manual and saw no reference to this valve but did find reference to it in the winterization section. go figure.
thanks very much to you both...appreciate the help!
