I know there is someone out there who can explain this in terms I can understand....
I have switched the surround sound switch to tv in my cabinet, and have read the rather uninformative surround sound brochure which came with my coach.
Can someone tell me how to get the surround sound to work when the tv is on? It works just fine when the radio is on.
I have a 2004 Journey 32T with a Sony tv up front. I'm frankly not very good with electronics (or mechanical stuff either)

I have an 04 Journey 36G and it seems like mine did that once when I first got the coach. I believe I just turned everything off, made sure the radio switch on the dash was set to "main", the switch up in the cabinet above the passenger set to "TV" and then turned the tv back on and it worked. I haven't had it happen again since so I'm guessing there was a step in there somewhere during my initial attempt that I missed...perhaps setting the dash switch to "main". I hope this helps.
Perhaps yours is different than my 02 Journey, but I believe I have to switch the 'Radio' switch on the dash to the 'Auxiliary' position whenever the coach is stationary (ignition off). It seems (at least on mine) the surround sound power is through that switch on the dash.

Now that I think about it more....I believe that smlranger is right on this one. I'm not at my coach to physically look at the switches but what he says does sound familiar. I remember it had to due with the switch on the dash when mine did it...just was a little off on the setting. I would be willing to bet that if you follow his lead on this one your surround sound will work as it's supposed to.
My Itasca has a rocker switch on the dash that has a "Coach" & "Radio" position. For the TV surround to work the switch must be in the "Coach" position along with the little switch in the overhead on TV.
