When did Azdel start being used ?

Does anybody know when Winnebago started using Azdel in the construction of their Class A units? We are currently shopping for a used Class A and after a bad experience with our travel trailer (leaks, rot, delamination) I'd like to limit our search to those that don't use Luan/plywood in their construction. I see in the forums and on the Azdel website that the product is used by Winnebago but haven't found any info on when exactly they started using it and if it was only some models at first or all of them. If anybody knows or can point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi again Steve,
Winnebago Azdel Composite Fiberglass has been used on Winnebagos since 2006.

Thanks for the reply Eagle5. I saw that blog post last week but I'm skeptical. The blog post was published May 2019 and the reference to 2006 is just a cut-and-paste from the product info page on the Azdel website. So it isn't clear to me if Winnebago was an early adopter and started using it in 2006 or if they started using it sometime between then and 2019. I'm inclined to think it was closer to May 2019 when Lichtsinn RV published that blog entry.

Hi Steve,
After re-reading the article, I see your point. Glad that I have a 2019 model.
Using the Winnie Owners Search Engine, you can find other Threads here which discuss Azdel:

Thanks, Eagle5
