Solar Kit?

A 200 watt solar kit comes with controllers and such and simply two battery clamps to hook to a battery. Sounds simple!

Can I simply clamp the battery clamps to my house batteries and have them be getting the sun?

Well, yes. It's as simple as that. I assume you're talking about solar panels on the ground and they come with a simple PWM controller.

I have 300 watts of panels on my roof and they were factory wired through the RV to a 30 amp PWM solar controller which is simply wired directly to my battery bank.

Small solar installs are pretty direct and simple. They can get more complicated when you go to more wattage, more cells, and such.

By the way 200 watts of cells, a PWM controller should cost probably $300. You can put your own together for less than that. Some "kits" are priced high to make you think there is something difficult to figure out about the process.
