Coach Power Disconnect

The coach power disconnect switch stays on and power to the coach in both on or off position. Worked until put it in the shop for an electrical problem which turned out to be shorts in the plates in both coach batteries. Called the shop and they said the switch can go out. This coach is 3 years old, and after 30 years of RVing ;and 5 different RVs, I've not seen a power disconnect switch go out.
