Speedometer adjustment?
A few weeks ago I noticed on our maiden voyage (2400 miles, Idaho and back) that the speedometer on my '97 Adventurer (Chevy P30 chassis, 7.4l) was reading about 5% fast. When it showed 65, the GPS was showing 60. Not a safety/legal issue, it gives a safety margin, but I like things to read right on. Meanwhile, checking the odometer several times against the highway mile markers for 10 mile stretches, it was right on the money, so that tells me it's not a tire size vs diff-gear vs tranny sender issue (on my old GMC class-B conversion I had to change the speedo gear to make it read right).
Is there some way to adjust the speedometer to read faster/slower?
