...didn't know there was such a thing ...sure don't have one on our DP!! I am imagining a long rod that would hold the door open ...must be a shorter gizmo than I am picturing that secures the door to the side of a gas coach?

Yes Paul your right--I believe the door holder open thing is only for the gas models so the door stays stationary and doesn't crash into the awning arm when it is open. We use it when it's warm enough to use the screen door. Winnie calls it a rod-awning guard entrance door. Now I just neeed to figure out what length--17.8" or 12.7". It keeps the main door at about a 90 degree angle to the coach. Very handy if you don't lose it.
