Awning

I have a 2015 27N with a domedic electric awning that will not extend, there is no noise or clicking or any movement to indicate it is trying to go. If I push the retract button it will try to retract but of coarse it is already up so I know there is power getting to the motor at least, any ideas? I am going to pull the switch to see if there is anything obvious

Do you have a wind sensor? If the sensor is bad or disconnected the awning will only retract, e.g. you can not extend it. Turn OFF the wind sensor (may have to use the FOB) then try to open the awning.

The switch could be bad. I had a stair cover do the exact same thing. It would go in but not out. I checked the switch and it was bad. I replaced it and it works.

Good luck!

Okay

Here's the story. I had the engine running to charge the batteries a little while trying to extend the awning, well I found out that the awning will not extend with the engine running but it will retract. I've had an RV of one kind or another since the late 60's but this is the first one with an electric awning. It just goes to show you that you can teach an old dog new tricks. Thanks
