A fuel source that rocks? Really rocks?

It'll take a while but this "sounds" good!

"However, realizing this potential will require overcoming daunting technical hurdles."

Funny how they mention that but not what the hurdles are...
I am old enough to remember them beating the fusion drum during chemistry class in school. It was going to be so awesome, and here we are... still waiting.

I suspect one of those techie problems involves the 800 C temp required?
I'm guessing that takes a fair amount of insulation !
The fusion power is one that I saw they had a sustained one going for some short amount of time, so maybe someday?
But I've also noted that the really rich folks are really interested in moving to Mars as they can see this one is going to be overrun way too soon!

Any old farmer can tell you what happens when you put too many chickens in the hen house! I bred and raised tropical fish for a time and I can certainly vouch for what happens there when you overcrowd them.
You wake up and nearly the whole tank has died off!

Texas is sending out the word that we may have to cut off electricity this week as it is forecast to be too warm! Isn't that a rosy plan when you are looking at this as the cooler season?

That has the potential to scrap the EV industry.if they don't come up with better battery technology soon.
