We are trying very heavy fishing line (80lb??). The line is as thick as the string that was there. Our hope is that because it is smooth rather than stringlike, it will last longer. I guess time...

Good to know. I'll be calling Winnebago. I tried to find some at WalMart. LOL We have had to restring 3 so far. Well, really 4, but the cat ate the strings on one of them. LOL
