It looks to me as if the threads in the housing have striped out and i see no metal pieces or shaving so I’m guessing that the threads may be plastic. The problem is there is no way to get the unit...

I’m not sure 8 can tell the difference between the 2 styles you mentioned. Mine sets on a center slide and is opened and closed via a acme threaded rod.

Lippert couldn’t even find any info on this model slideout actuator. The were great to work with but basically they said it was out of production and no part available.

The name on the switches is Kwikee. I believe that lippert owns them now so i will give them a call and see if i have any options there.
