So did I and it worked well. The problem was the damage was already done and the windshields were loose. My 2002 had the complete repair done by the PO but apparently they hadn't done it properly.

Make sure that whoever does the job also does a good job of rust-proofing the new steel. My 2002 had the frame either replaced or repaired before I bought it but apparently they didn't do a good job...
