No 110v power from House batteries

Hey everyone. 2006 Dodge Sprinter View by Winnebago. I feel i may have an inverter issue or control center problem. When connected to shore power all accessories work but when unplugged nothing is receiving power. I have load tested the house batteries and voltage drops to 11.1V with 100amp load tester.
Cleaned connections, checked all fusses, and cycled breakers. when i turn the house batteries on i hear a loud click from between the seats but nothing energies.

Calvin123-

First off, welcome to winnieowners!

Second, you should add a signature to your user profile. It usually includes the year, make and model of your coach, but can include other information. A signature is appended to each post. To create/edit a signature, click on the "User CP" link in the orange bar at the top, then click on "Edit Signature."

Re: No 110V from 12V batteries. To do this, your coach needs an inverter. According to the 2006 View brochure (link here) and the wiring diagrams for your coach (link here), the 2006 View did not come from the factory with an inverter, either as "standard" or as an option. So, the first question is: Does your coach have an inverter? Someone could have added one in the years since it was built.

Right on about the inverter ^.

And if nothing 12 volt is being powered, sounds like the battery disconnect. It will disconnect the batteries from the system. Converter will power things when plugged in, but when you unplug, everything turns off.

There are some easy tests that may help lead to the solution but we may need to be clear on some things before starting.
There are three different power systems in the RV. I think you will be saying that the 110AC things like the microwave are working when plugged in and not a problem. But I'm somewhat guessing when you say things don't work? Can we assume that it is the inside lights, fans and water pump, that are not working when not plugged in? those would be on the coach batteries to work when not plugged but use the power from the converter when you are plugged in.
It sounds like it may be somethng in the path from the batteries to those items but we should do a quick test before saying batteries or things along the route!

Check the CO and propane detecors for a small light on the front? If that light is on, it will indicate that the path from the batteries is at least partly good and that then leads toward the battery disconnect switch and relay!
A way to begin to cut the chase?

This is because the safety items DO NOT go through the disconnect while most of the inside 12VDC items do! Decision point? If the safety items work, we need to look toward the disconnect but if neither group works, we need to look toward the batteries!

I suspect it is toward the disconnect but good for you to verify that??

Second test is simple also. When the RV engine is started, both start and coach batteries are connected together, so we can verify that it is/is not a battery problem if we start the engine.
When the engine is running does that make the failed items work?

Basic plan without lots of detail!

Converter makes DC to charge coach battery or also run inside items when plugged in.
When not plugged in, coach battery should ALWAYS be good to power safety items, check for the small light on detector. No light, the problem is back toward battery.
Whether plugged or not, if the disconnect switch is working right, all 12VDC inside should work

When we start the RV engine, the engine alternator charges both batteries and runs all 12VDC, both in and outside truck functions. (horn, headlights, etc.) That tells us the the coach battery supply needs a look if all works when using the start battery and alternator!

Do some loooking and also let us know which model of 06 view, so that we can go to the correct drawings?

Until you sort out your house batteries - are they good, are they bad? it's really tough to tell about 110v inverter power.

First, obviously it's your battery power that creates the power for the inverter to do its magic. Second, most all inverters have low voltage cutoffs that simply disconnect the inverter from the battery bank when voltage drops below a certain level.

Hey Everyone

After following some pinpoint tests and manually bypassing the house solonoid it became obvious I had a faulty solenoid for the house batteries. Here is the link for the part I replaced and everything is back to rights. Thank You to everyone for the help.

That's like asking... "how long is a rope."

You've given us no info. What year? What model? What floorplan?

We need that info with EVERY post. Help us help you.

The thing many overlook is that no two RV are ever exactly alike with hundreds or thousands of different models of Winnebago. The older or shorter often have lots of different things and the newer or bigger have far more items to make them work different.
A bit like asking where they put the engine on a VW, only looking for much smaller parts!

If 11.3VDC was with the load tester attached and operating, that is normal. When you turn off the load tester, voltage should rather quickly rebound to 12+.VDC; otherwise your batteries have failed. That is assuming you began with them fully-charged.
