RV Slide Issue

It is way too expensive to have a dealer hyper extend slides to replace glide shoe. I have been also told that i can get strips of LVT plank and lay these on my new floor for the slide to ride on...

It is a 2003 Winnebago Adventurer 35U (35 Ft.) Living Room/dinette Slide and bedroom/hall closet slide) so 2 slides.
