Well I am not sure, but in the battery compartment there is a solenoid mounted on the wall behind the battery, and I am not totally sure as it been a while since I last looked, but on the other side...

Why the Solenoid? I am hooked directly to my starting battery & I unplug the unit from 110 when not using it & pull the small "included" plug! Simple.
