Being the impatient type I used the lacquer thinner and it worked fine. Thanks for the replies. The bottles of touch-up did not have labels so no way to tell what type of paint it was.

Just a note to bring anyone up to date on this post, we purchased a nice '07 36G Journey with 350 Cat and 22K miles and feel it will work very well, giving just a bit more storage than the 34H.
