2nd Propane Tank For 2018 Drop 170S?

New Winnie Drop owner. My question is concerning adding a second propane tank. I want to buy a propane tank cover so before I purchase one, I have to decide if I should go to a double tank ? Is a double tank worth it ? And which brand of propane tank cover should I purchase.

Winnie Drop Newbie,

JC

Adding a second tank and whether it is worth it will depend very much on how you use the RV. Propane can last a long time in some uses and go really fast for other users. I found the comfort of always having a second tank to switch to was something I liked but that was as much an attitude than a real NEED!
Being the type who doesn't like to buy and haul things I don't need, I would first want to get used to things and find what was an actual need and what was just extra weight to drag around!
I never bothered with covers as I found I spent more time fussing with the cover than I wanted. In the area I lived at the time, the covers did not last long before they got brittle and split or rotted, so watching others, I never bothered!
But I also had to get the ice off them lots of times, so we settled for a simple box if it was going to ice! Your experience is likely to vary!
