How do I search the entire forum for all posts that have been made over the last say 7 days or 30 days? I tried advance search for a date range but it requires a key word to search. I just want all posts.

There is not a way to do this. Sorry. The search requires a Keyword or a username to search against.
The index of each forum is in date order with the sort from the newest to the oldest. If you bring up the forum's index and start at the top of the page you'll be viewing the most recent posts and you can manually move through a week or month.
You can visit a forum, click "Forum Tools" on the menubar, click "Subscribe to this Forum" and then choose to receive an email weekly containing links to all new posts in that forum.
