Question The Gallaghers

Good Morning All. We are totally new to RVing. We went to the RV show expecting to decide that this was not for us. Boy, were we wrong! Then we thought we would use the next couple of years before retirement and rent once or twice to see if we would really like it. We rented for 1 weekend. It was miserable, cold and wet. Then we discovered that we had left the bed linens, blanket and towels in the utility room, 150 miles away. Campground hosts to the rescue. Lots of other first timer mistakes, but we got though it and still had fun. In our search for information we visited several RV dealers. Everyone was informative and showed us a lot of different models. But we fell in love with a beautiful well maintained used 2007 Voyage 33-foot Winnebago and bought it on the spot. We are not planning on letting it sit for very long. We are off on our first adventure in two weeks. We would like some suggestions for campgrounds and resorts that are geared for empty nesters.

It would help if we know where you are and how far you are willing to travel.

Welcome Gallaghers! The wife and I recently bought a 2008 Voyage. Please post up as you learn about your RV and share your events. I like to read and learn from folks.

Welcome to WinnieOwners!

Now if we only knew where you were traveling to we might be able to provide some suggestions for campgrounds.

A great place to start is always Campground Reviews - Trusted Reviews of Campgrounds & RV Parks. You'll find listings there for thousands of campgrounds. We look for CG rated 7 and above. But we always look at the reviews for context. If they are very few and or very old we discount them entirely.

Best of luck.
