Old 1976 Winnebago Owner and not sure what to do

Hello, Thank You for letting me join your Forum ! I bought a 1976 Winnebago Chieftain thinking my oldest son could help me get it 'road worthy'. It has no brakes, bad gas needs drained, engine overhauled probably and new tires. Well, my son thinks it is too big of a project for me as a female Senior Citizen, and I am very disappointed and do not know what to do with it. Any input or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. Maybe I was a fool to think I could do this.

Hello, THANK YOU for your encouragement !! I am going to think this through and see what can be done. I have already fallen in 'love' with this old Winnebago, and maybe I can bring her back to Life somehow !!
