Hello everyone
My wife and I started out with 12 foot truck camper any loved the exploring and camping adventures. We then went to a sailboat and loved that also. Next we bought a 34 foot 5th wheel that we have now owned for 16 years. Now we are looking at a motorhome as our next vehicle for adventures. We found a 2004 Vectra that seems to be in good condition. It has the 400 hp Cummings. The One owner and party handling sale owns RV welding and supply company and friends and services the unit since new. It currently has 0ver 130,000 miles.
I have some questions if anyone has input good or bad I would appreciate your input.
1. In 2004, what were the Winnebago diesel coach models and ranking?
2. Are or were there any known defects mechanical or electrical to be aware of?
3. If service has been accomplished properly should we be concerned with the 130000+ mileage?
4. Would a 2005 or 2006 be a better choice?

Any inputs would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance and I look forward exploring the forum.

Hi Da Papa,
The 2004 Vectra Brochure has the details of the engines shown on page 10. The Cummings is listed as having just 350 horsepower in that year; not 400 hp.
When moving ahead to 2005, the Vectra does advertise a 400 hp Cummings, with the same engines being offered on the 2006 Vectra.
Welcome to the Forum.
