Welcome Dan!
Don't be shy about getting that Camper Van out as soon as possible. Many new RVs come from the factory and the RV dealers with issues that need attention. Pretty much the only way to know about these things is with repeated use.
We see people every day that buy a new RV, park it "for the season" and plan on using it in a few months. Then on their first trip they find X, Y and Z problems and have trouble getting the dealer to take care of these things in a complete and timely manner.
That's why we always encourage folks to get out right a way. In fact, we normally suggest people pick up the RV and go camping right then. That way when you find problems AND find that you don't remember how everything is supposed to work you can immediately return to the dealer and get things taken care of.
Hopefully, you'll find little or no instances of things not working as expected - but be aware that that is not very common.
I'd also suggest you look up "The Fit RV" on YouTube. They are long time Travato owners that have made dozens of videos on the topic and some really great modifications to their RV, too.
