new member central Florida Needs Itasca Horizon Info
We are in the process of tradeing for an Itasca Horizon 2007 IKS40FD.
This has a 400 cummins engine, 4 slides. Among the options is a GPS
navigation system original cost 2,730.00. At this point we do not know the
mfg but does anyone know what mfg system it might be and can it be updated or might it be outdated? Also with this RV how do we find out about any 'recalls' as to whether or not they were done?
Hello and welcome to the forum! I have moved your questions to the Winnebago Owners section where you will find information about Itasca products. Please feel free to post all your questions about the Horizon here for the best visibility. Good luck with your purchase.
The OEM GPS is undoubtedly outdated, not to mention a hassle to update. You'll be far better served by just buying a new RV specific GPS. Ours sits on the dash, right on top of the one American Coach installed.
Rand McNally and Magellen both make them good RV units.

It was an Alpine GPS that was very good in its day. It is now out of date and no longer made and no updates are available. Just buy a newer unit and forget the old unit. Garmon and Rand McNally seem to be the most popular. Welcome to Winnebago and safe travels.
