New Campers

Good day all, my wife and I just made our first camper purchase after 2 years of research and shopping. Long story ort. We spent our time looking at all the brands we could and after all the dealers and shows, including to Hersey twice, we were able to narrow the list to 2 brands of campers. Lance and Winnebago. While we really loved each for its own reasons we just could not come up with a unit that hit for both of us.

Friday the wife was browsing our local dealers site and she found a used unit arrive, that was so new no pictures had even been posted. She called and within a few hours we had pictures and made an appointment to go see it on Saturday morning.

What she had found was a used 2017 2500RL. When we arrived on Sat morning, the dealer had told us that the unit had not been through the shop and had arrived that morning. What we found was a unit that had been purchased and never used. Not even a foot print on the floor. Now yes it had been and the mattress needs to go, but the unit was not lived in and even still had the new unit smell. We found a few minor imperfections like a stain on the dinette, and a stick on level that had been torn off. Oh Well. but overall the unit was in showroom condition. The nubs had not even been worn off the tires.

We asked for and received the best price, then started to negotiate. What we got was a great deal, the unit and a Blue Ox hitch out the door for what we asked. So now in 2 weeks (the 18th) we will join the ranks of campers and travelers enjoying the time together.

We are in Maine and even though our season is almost over we can't wait to see what our new adventure will bring and to meet new folks everywhere we go

Good luck on the new rig. We did several local trips to figure out what we needed and didn't need. We are now getting ready to head up to Washington State for the kite festival.
