Just Joined 2014 Winnebago Spirit 32K

We just joined yesterday. We are new 9 month owners of a 2014 Winnebago Spirit 32K. We have traveled to NM from southern CA a couple of times visiting family. The drive was fun with the Motorhome.
We only had one issue with the entry door to the living area popped open while driving down the freeway. Is there something we did to cause this? Is it normal if you do not lock the dead bolt? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hey Ron, welcome to the group. We have a 2021 22M and we do not close the deadbolt on our entry door while traveling. We have noticed it takes more than a casual amount of motion to get it to close. I hope it wasn’t damaged when it opened. We sadly just recently winterized ours ��. We can’t wait to get back on the road. After owning 2 Travatos, we’re stunned by how much room and comfort we were missing out on. Hope you enjoy many more travels!

Hi Ron,
The door opening while traveling down the freeway sounds horrifying. I always dead-bolt my door when underway. Does it look like your door handle is somehow out of adjustment? I would consider replacing the latch mechanism with new hardware.
