I am pretty sure of getting a "new" Winnebago

Hi,
I am new to this site and am excited for all the information on here.

I am fairly certain I am getting a "new" (to me) 1997 Winnebago Brave DL 31 on a Chevy chassis (454/4L80).

I have looked long and hard and rarely find one with the qualities I am looking for (it is difficult to find). This one has it......shed kept since new and it looks it. The roof on it basically looks like new and so does the rest of the RV (both in and out). Second owner who bought it from a friend who got too old to use it. This second owner has had it for 20 years.

All systems are working on both the coach and the engine/chassis. The current owner just put 1400 miles on it last week. He is willing to drive it 2 hours to meet me half way to show it to me. 39K on the odometer.

I've got the download ready to go for inspecting a used RV and will fine tooth this Winnebago tomorrow. Anyone have any other advice as I consider this Rv?

That sounds like one I had and wish we could have kept it. We liked the size and the rear queen bed was what we prefer. Not finding a DL model in the parts listings, though. Should be a label under the drivers window with a bunch of techie info, if you do want to verify for some reason. I find the most likely area to be ignored and possible bad shape are the batteries but they are also pretty straightforward to find the problem and replace at a somewhat reasonable price.

Tons of potential useful info if you get a specific model to match? Sometimes knowing what the parts look like is step one to getting them apart!
