1st Time RVer with 26’ Winnebago Intent

Hello everyone,

My name is Melody Love and I am new to all things RV. I'm about to go out West for my first official roadtrip (super excited). I hope to learn as much as I can about RVing and all that involves.

Welcome to the group and let me add a couple words to help head off trouble!
Just to make getting info quicker and easier, if you add the year, make and model/length of your RV to your signature,it will always pop up there on any future post.

This may seem picky but it really can help you to get a good answer quicker. Right now we might go to your profile and see you have a 26 Intent but we don't know what year and then there are always folks willing to help but their first question may be what kind of trailer do you have!
For instance, a lot of good info is availble here, but you see the problem? We'll need to know the year before we can look deeper!

As a bigger helpwithout so much complaint, one of the most frequent troubles is figuring how to keep the batteries charged and keep them from failing as we use an RV so much different that a car!
Way too much different in the small points that hang us up when first starting!
Keep a close watch on them while getting used to the whole program.
Enjoy but be alert?

Why no RV year, make and floorplan on MY signature as we suggest for others?

I would suggest a one-year+ membership in WIT. It gives you a chance to travel with other Winn's, learn from them and get help when needed. Good outings too.

Welcome. You might want to go to the User CP in the control bar and set up a signature block like mine and David Laura's that gives us all the details of your rig. That way the info is always there for us.

Also, a location, even a general one is helpful. Many issues are climate-related and a location helps. This can also be done via the User CP.

Welcome! We have the same model, 26m (they only made in for two years).

On this forum, there’s a treatise of information about the Intent. When it first came out, this thread was started and everyone with an Intent piled on.

Let me know if you have some Intent specific questions…

Safe travels…
