I have an appointment at Winnie in Forest City, Iowa, for September 12. I have a few items that need to be repaired (Schwintek living room slide out, rear AC, leaks, minor structural imperfections, jacks) that will be covered under warranty and maybe one or two that I reported after warranty ran out April 9.
I have a few questions for those that may have already been to the service center in Forest City...
1. Does Winnie allow you to stay in your coach for the night after the service techs have gone home for the day? I would be able to return each late afternoon.
2. If the answer to #1 is NO, it sure seems like the only hotel in the area is a Super 8. Not really my type of motel. Any suggestions for a good clean place to stay? I expect I will need about 5 days.
3. Does Winnie keep the coach hooked up to 30 / 50 AMP service during the entire time? I have a lot of perishables in the fridge and freezer... And wine cooler
4. Does Winnie only do repairs or can they also do a full service maintenance (change oil, filters, etc.)?
5. Does Winnie offer "how to do courses" at their Forest City location?
6. Does Winnie offer a tour of their facility?
7. For those that respond and have been to Winnie, what are your thoughts and recommendations?
I might have follow up questions to any responses I get.
