I have a 2004 Minnie 29B. Wanting to add a trickle charger to keep the chassis battery charged when I am connected to shore power only. I do not want to charge off the house batteries if possible.
Currently use a small trickle charger plugged into the wall outlet, but want something more permanent that will only charge when connected to shore power.
Wonder if this could be connected to the BIM Chassis Battery side?
I assumed my 2004 Itasca Sunover 30B had a modern smart charger like the ones I installed in my 1979 Airstream motor home. (Yes, motor home Chev P30 chassis). No, it does not. The manual says to not hook up to shore power in storage.
I want to upgrade the charger/converter so it charges on high when batteries are very low, lower to top them off, then go into the anti sulfate mode periodically as needed.
Any recommendations?
I replaced my original converter with one from best converter.com. They have several options for most setups. Make sure you also get one that will support lithium batteries for that future upgrade. https://www.bestconverter.com/
