Not exactly sure of the compartment size and configuration on the 2016 model, but I used to have a 2014 Suntsar 31KE (I think they are the same). I bought a used matching rim from an RV salvage company and bought a lower cost tire of equivalent size and had it mounted on the used wheel.Had to verify the bore hole and the number of lug holes Loaded it all fine in the rear compartment. Didn't take much room as it lay flat in the compartment. Never had to use it but was happy to always have it along as I have had 4 tire failures on RV's over the past 30 years. I recall it ran about $300 to put it all together and never had to worry about any mounting needs.

You may carry it with you but if you have a flat how are you going to change it? Do you plan on carrying that heavy a duty jack and a air system that can torque to 145ftlbs go right ahead. Personally save the space and buy an Road Hazard warranty, AAA, Good Sams or something. Let them bring you a new tire and install it for you. You've got 3 different type of rims on your MH. So you would need 3 spares

I understand that if you have aluminum rims the inner dual rim is steel, but a steel spare can always be put on in place of the aluminum one, front or rear, so long as you have a set of standard open lugnuts that will screw all the way on.

Where does this "third" different rim come from?

I have been told that with the 19.5" tire, the rims are the same - can anyone confirm that?
