Upholstery upgrades 2012 Chalet 31CR

Our rig is a 2012 model and as you can imagine some of the interior is dated. Its not worn, just dated. We are considering having the overhead bunk cushions, Dinette booth cushions and window valances reupholstered. I have found a couple of local upholstery shops nearby. I haven't called for a quote yet as I wanted to check with this community to see if any of ya'll have done this.

So, Has anyone had upholstery updates in their class C? If so, what did you have done? And, not trying to be too personal but what was the cost if you don't mind sharing that? Or at least a ball park cost. Photos would be appreciated also.

Your responses will help us determine a reasonable cost to compare with quotes and/or whether it was worth the cost for you individually. We plan on keeping our rig for a while, so this is just for us.

Thanks you in advance for your feedback.

I am blessed, I did the Uphostery on my dinette myself. I used a program called Sailrite.com . But it is not a project for everyone. I know my friend had just part of a seat done on his Ford F250 and it cost over $500. I would just get a few bids and go with the cheapest.

Thank you Lenore. I wish we possessed a talent for sewing but we don’t. I did visit sailrite.com and viewed some of the material which was helpful.
Judging from the lack of response I’m guessing not many do this due to the cost and that might be our case as well. I’ll find out when we check our local upholstery shops.
Thanks again for your input.

Valances

The valances were pretty easy. I just took material we liked, sewed it to the right width, and we stapled them right over the other ones at the top and sides. Easily removable.

Once upon a time I did make new covers for visions, it that was so long ago!
