Tires for 05 Vectra

Going to have to put tires on our Vectra soon. Looking at options, the 275/80R22.5 size that is on it doesn't offer many brand choices and are more expensive in comparison to the far more common 295/75R22.5. They are VERY similar in size, my only concern is the slightly increased width. The rear tires are already pretty close to the edge of the body in the wheel well opening. Anyone changed to the 295s and notice if the tires contacted the body afterward?

I went from the OEM 255/80R22.5 LRG tires on my 2005 Vectra 36RD to 275/70R22.5 LRH ones. The diameter is almost the same, although I did have the ECM tweaked to slightly to make it exact.
