Journey Headlight replacement

I would like to know if anyone has replaced their headlight assembly completely and how difficult. I'm looking to replace mine with the projector style lenses. Also, do you know from what make and model the headlights are from. I have a 2006 Journey.

The lights are out of a 98 Pontiac I believe but will give you the exact model in the AM. I agree they are lousy . I readjusted the "fog" lights so I can use them as driving lights. I set them to aim down a bit so they wouldn't get in oncoming drivers eyes but still lit up the road.

I am interested in switching to projector headlights too on my 2007 Journey. Their are plenty available for the Pontiac 99-2005s but unfortunately, I haven't found any for the 96-98s yet. If you find some please post.

Thanks,
Jay

Thanks for your response to my headlight issue. I have been using my fog lights to assist my headlight performance and will continue to look for the replacement headlights. Again, thanks for your response.

FYI , I have also replaced the bulbs with higher performance bulbs to no avail. I also made sure the headlight aiming was correct . Nothing that I have found seems to help except the "fog" lights !

I also have an '06 Journey and each headlight assembly is attached to 2 brackets to the inside of the front cap. Each side of the assembly is fastened to its bracket with small nut/bolt sets. I found that even a bulb change requires the assembly to be removed for that service due to lack of space behind the light to extract the bulb.
